Historical landmark remember that when you see all the work that needs to be done. friendly and helpful staff .Quick and simple check in i would recommend getting there early if you want to park long term lot can get full and you may have to park outside gated area . Negative boarding was chaotic they shouted and trying to hear over all the people made it confusing on where to go and which train to board.
My first experience with Amtrak in USA. Comfortable seats, good leg room , adjustable seats. The staff at the station and on the train are pretty comfortable. Wash room is fine. Onboard pantry service is present.
This is a beautiful train station! The ease of access is incredible! They provide gated and no cost parking behind the station! We enjoy taking the train to Orlando and Miami versus driving, parking, etc.. it’s so simple to Uber anywhere once we arrive. It beats parking and traffic! Tickets can be purchased on the Amtrak app or at the station.
Historic Station with large waiting room. It only has 2 trains a day coming to it, Amtraks Silver Star. Additional seating is outside also. Bathrooms need to be updated. If you want to store your baggage, there’s only certain times the stations windows are open. I got there at 2:20 pm, to store my bags, so I could go return my rental car that was down by the port & explore the area without having my bags with me. The windows didn’t open until 3 pm. I happened see a staff member come out the room where they keep them when I 1st got there & asked if there was anyway to leave my 1 bag now. He pointed to the sign on the window & said it opens at 3. So I had to wait 40 minutes until they opened. He ended up being the same guy that took my bag anyway. I was the only person in the station at that entire time waiting. Staff really wasn’t the friendliest either. It was also $10 to store the bag for basically an hour & 1/2, since my train was at 5pm.
Train station was comfortable, and staff was helpful. Vending machines are available for drinks and snacks. We couldn't find the "accessible entrance in rear," so we used stairs it's a historic building.
I was nervous to take the Amtrack from Tampa to Miami for the first time due to some really poor reviews, however, my experience was wonderful. First, the staff at the Tampa Union Station were extremely friendly. The station itself is a very cool old building with lots of historic character. The train was only 45 min late, which is understandable as I learned that the route originates in NY with many, many, many stops before reaching Tampa. I did get a roomette for my daughter and I and it was amazing! So comfortable for the 5 hour trip. Our attendant Preston was absolutely wonderful and really went above and beyond to make our first trip enjoyable and comfortable. If you can splurge a little, you won't regret the roomettes. I am already planning our next Amtrack trip through a more scenic location.
Nice little station and easy to get too. More of a three and a half star but with money and love it could be five star. The building is great but old and in need of some work. Getting on the train was easy. I took Uber but seems to be ample parking.
Went from Tampa to Deerfield Beach. It was a nice trip. Couches are comfortable and the train has a lot of space to put your belongings. I’m glad that I also was able to take a nap. I enjoyed so much. This is so convenient and easy to use for you or your family
